We measure traffic. We do not identify people.

This website uses no tracking cookies, stores no IP addresses and sends data to no third party. The only thing it saves on your device is the language you want to read it in. Below is exactly what happens during your visit — not general phrasing, but the list of values our server actually writes down.

Effective from: 15 August 2026

Who processes the data

The controller is the company named in the legal notice. You will find the full company details there, along with the contact address for anything on this page.

What a visit records

Measurement runs on our own tool on our own server. Nothing is sent anywhere else.

ValueWhat it is for
The page visited (path without parameters)so we know which content works and which does not
The domain you arrived fromso we know whether people find us through search or a link
Browser, operating system and device type — broad category onlyso the site works on what people actually use
Country code, if the network in front of our server supplies oneto split traffic across language versions; often left empty
A daily anonymous fingerprint of the visitto tell a new visit apart from a page reload

The daily fingerprint is produced by a one-way function from a salt that changes every day. It cannot be turned back into an IP address or a device, and after midnight the same visitor is already a different fingerprint. It is therefore not an identifier that follows you over time.

Your IP address and full browser string are processed only at the moment of the request — they feed the daily fingerprint and the protection against server flooding. They are never written to the database and cease to exist once the request is handled.

If your browser sends “Do Not Track”, nothing is recorded at all. Traffic from bots and crawlers is not counted as traffic. Attempts to scan addresses that do not exist on this site are logged separately for security — without an IP address and without a visit fingerprint, only the requested address and a coarse agent name.

What we do not do

  • we use no tracking cookies — the only one we store remembers your language
  • we do not store IP addresses
  • we use no Google Analytics or any other third-party tool
  • there are no advertising, social or tracking scripts on this site
  • we build no profiles and make no automated decisions
  • we neither sell nor trade data

Cookies

This website has no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to: we store nothing for advertising, tracking or profiling, and we hand no cookie to any third party.

The only cookie an ordinary visitor receives remembers the language. It is called rb_lang. It holds nothing but a language code and the time of the choice — nothing in it can identify your device or you. Thanks to it the site will not show you Slovak once you have switched to English, and you need not hunt for the language again on every visit. How long it lasts depends on how the choice came about:

How the choice came aboutHow long it lasts
We inferred the language from your browser settings7 days
You picked the language with the switch in the header30 days
You stayed on the chosen language for at least a minute365 days

You can delete it at any time in your browser settings — the site will then infer the language from your browser again, and nothing else changes.

Consent under Section 109(8) of Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on Electronic Communications is not required for data strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user. Showing the site in a language you understand is precisely such a service, which is why we do not ask.

A second cookie is invisible to visitors: the non-public administration area sets a technical login cookie once the operator signs in rb_session (8 h). It is not set without a login and has nothing to do with traffic measurement.

Legal basis

We measure traffic on the basis of legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). That interest is knowing whether the site serves its purpose and keeping it running safely.

We kept the intrusion at the minimum that still makes sense: no tracking cookies, no stored IP address and no identifier that survives a single day. If you write to us, we process your address and the content of your message so that we can reply and keep a record of what was agreed.

Who receives the data

Nobody except our hosting provider, who runs the server and the database for us and acts as a processor. They also process technical server logs to the extent necessary for operation and security. We send data to no analytics, advertising or other third party.

How long we keep it

Analytics records are deleted automatically after 24 months. Sooner, if they stop being useful before that. E-mail correspondence is kept for as long as the reason it came about lasts, or for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have, in particular, the following rights towards us:

  • Access — to know whether and what data we process about you (Art. 15)
  • Rectification — to have incorrect data corrected or completed (Art. 16)
  • Erasure — to request that data be deleted (Art. 17)
  • Restriction — to request that we temporarily stop using the data (Art. 18)
  • Portability — to receive the data in a machine-readable form (Art. 20)
  • Objection — to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)

For traffic measurement we store nothing that would let us find you — we hold no IP address and no persistent identifier. We therefore cannot tell which row in the statistics is yours. That is not a refusal of your rights but a consequence of the data being anonymised (Art. 11 GDPR). The rights apply in full to any correspondence you have with us.

If you believe we handle data improperly, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:
